Jeff Harrison was born in the rather unassuming community of Logan, Utah, tucked away in the top of the Rocky Mountains. He spent most of his formative years just outside of Logan in the even smaller town of Nibley, where cows outnumber people.
Jeff began his Korean adventure in 1988 and has lived in Korea for the vast majority of the time since then. He speaks, reads, and writes Korean fluently. He has a deep understanding of Korean culture and society that proves invaluable in assisting foreign clients.
Since joining Pusan Pacific Law Office in 1996, Jeff has established himself a one of the leading foreign authorities on matters relating to Korean law, particularly on issues relating to maritime, business, and labor laws. He has handled and supervised arbitration matters with the International Chamber of Commerce and the Korean Arbitration Board. He is listed in the Asia Pacific Legal 500.
He is a frequent seminar speaker, radio talk show guest, and a popular guest lecturer at universities. He spent one a year on the faculty of the Korea Maritime University as an adjunct professor where he taught classes on the WTO

and WTO trade dispute resolution. Given his unique position as a Korean-speaking, long-term foreign lawyer in Pusan, Jeff is also a frequent subject for newspaper and other media stories.
An avid reader, movie buff, and music lover, Jeff's interests are very diverse. A glance at his CD rack will show Alice Cooper next to Chopin next to Johnny Cash. He enjoys playing electric and acoustic blues guitar. Tattered science-fiction and fantasy share bookshelf space with leather-bound copies of Dickens, Tolstoy, and other great books. He has more DVDs than he knows what to do with. Jeff is also an accomplished martial artist holding black belts in Hapkido and Kuk Sool Won. In 2000, Jeff placed third in Korea in his division at the Korea Kuk Sool Won championships. |
