Bang Jo Lim was born and raised in Seoul, where he obtained his education from elementary school through university.
While he was growing up, Bang Jo's parents encouraged their son to aspire to become a civil servant and enjoy the accompanying job security and safety. Bang Jo, however, had different ideas. Against his parents' wishes, he pursued his legal studies at the prestigious Sungkyun Kwan University, where he graduated with a degree in law.
After studying for and passing the lawyer's exam, he entered the Judicial Research & Training Institute. He then joined Pusan Pacific Law Office with a desire to pursue a legal career in the fields of maritime law and business law.
He is fond of running as a way to release stress. He also enjoys listening to music as a way of altering his mood. He tends to listen to heavy metal on those long nights when he finds himself having to stay late at the office.
