Haeng Nam Park was born in a small village on a tiny island in Namhae county on the Southernmost tip of the Korean peninsula. He grew up enjoying the freedom and possibilities that can be found in small towns, but are missing from the concrete jungles of the huge metropolitan cities.
After graduating from high school, Haeng Nam set off for the big city and entered Pusan National University College of Law, where he excelled in his studies.
He served his mandatory military service as a Korean Augmentation Troop to the United States Army (KATUSA) soldier, which entailed working, living and training with regular US 8th Army soldiers. As such, in addition to developing a strong proficiency in the English language, he gained important and valuable insights into the different cultures and ways of thinking that can be found throughout the western world.
During his military service, Haeng Nam caught the desire

to experience the world on a larger scale and to travel to other countries. He accomplished his goal of visiting another country when, during his studies at the Judicial Research & Training Institute, he was afforded the opportunity to attend a program of instruction for lawyers at Harvard University. As Haeng Nam says, "it was a 35-year journey from a tiny island to the shores of a foreign country."
Upon graduation from the Judicial Research & Training Institute, he joined Pusan Pacific Law Office. As he deals with corporate matters, insurance disputes, and arbitration matters, Haeng Nam uses his small town practicality and common sense to cut to the heart of issues and to find creative strategies and solutions to difficult matters. |
